SFH Series 5

The Starfire SFH Series 5 oil-fired water boiler is available in 5 sizes with heating capacities from 119 MBH to 259 MBH and features a dependable cast iron heat exchanger and a HydroLevel High Limit and Circulator Relay Control with LWCO, digital temperature display and diagnostics.

In the Starfire SFH Series 5 Less Coil: The HydroLevel control features a Thermal Pre-Purge – Further enhances boiler efficiency by supplying latent heat, that may remain in the boil­er from a previous run cycle, to the heating zone requiring heat. The control activates the burner only when it determines that the latent heat will not be adequate to satisfy the heating demand. The control monitors boiler cycling and saves fuel by adjusting boiler temperature based on demand. The control is Outdoor Reset Ready and will provide outdoor reset and warm weather shutdown with addition of Outdoor Sensor Kit.

In With Coil units: The control operates as a standard High Limit, Low Limit and Circulator Relay control.

  • This is replacing a Utica Boiler that is about 30 years old, very reliable with minimal problems. The tankless coil provides almost limitless domestic hot water at fraction of the cost of indirect heaters. By having the tankless coil the cast iron stays hot year round, always ready for heating season. With the heat exchanger staying hot the soot from the burner doesn't collect on the pins like it would if they were cold.
